![]() ODOR NEUTRALIZER - VeteranarianMaintaining a clean and odor free environment for you and your patients can be a challenge in the practice of Veterinary medicine. Expel helps make this aspect of the job a bit more pleasant. Whether you are expressing anal glands, or disinfecting the exam table in between patients Expel products make the job a little easier. For general odor control, such as animal urine, stool, vomit, and diarrhea accidents in the clinic area use the following three step process: For particularly foul accidents you may want to pre-treat the area and accident with Expel to make clean-up more bearable. Airborne Odors - Simply spray Expel in the air in those areas to be effective. In larger areas (entire clinics, bathrooms, kennels, stalls, etc.) or to eliminate musty air conditioner and duct odors use a power fogger to do the job best. Use Expel full strength for best results. Effectively eliminates the following airborne odors urine, stool, kennel, perfumes, pet odors, (diseased skin, teeth, etc.) Anal Glands - Empty the glands onto a paper towel previously wetted with full strength Expel. Spray the rectal area liberally with Expel and wipe dry. The pet goes home odor free. (And so does the DVM) Pet Odors - Expel will not irritate the skin of dogs, cats, or ferrets and is non-toxic. The pet can be sprayed liberally to generally deodorize the pet. Cat Boxes - Sprayed daily with Expel kitty litter boxes have NO odor. Expel helps owners to control finicky cats that don't like a dirty box. Skunked Pets - To remove the foul odor from a pet that has been sprayed by a skunk liberally spray the pet with full strength Expel, and as the Expel dries the odor will disappear in a matter of minutes. For heavily skunked animals it is best to rinse the dog with a solution of 50% water and 50% Expel and thoroughly wet the animal, massaging the solution into the fur to ensure complete neutralization of the foul odor. Large Animal Areas - Large areas are best treated with a daily fogging program. For best results, a misting system is required for these areas, we will be glad to discuss overhead misting systems currently in use or assist in the design of a custom system. Commercial hand held fogging systems are available but for large areas can be labor intensive. Deodorizing Tables, Cages, and Stalls - Spray , wipe, or mop Expel directly on the candidate surface. Allow to air dry, no rinse necessary. To disinfect tables and exam areas use Expel Detergent Disinfectant. Expel Detergent Disinfectant is an EPA registered viricide and biocide certified to kill canine parvo virus, click here for more information and the complete list of kill claims. Carpets - For large areas, a power mister/fogger does the job quickly and effectively. For isolated areas where a pet has urinated, blot up urine with a clean cloth then pour or spray Expel on the area to the point of saturating the pad. Allow to sit for thirty minutes before blotting up excess moisture with a clean rag. Allow to air dry. Trash Cans - Liberally spray the container with Expel. Allow to air dry. Clothes - Use Expel directly on clinic clothing to deodorize (anal glands, urine, stool, etc.) and effectively clean the area. Laundry - Add 4 oz. of Expel to the water of each load in the washing machine to remove all odors. Floors - Add 4 oz of Expel to mopping solutions to eliminate odors and extend the life of your mop heads. To eliminate odors you can also fog floors. Bedding - Fog or spray the area liberally before bedding is in place. Treat bedding fabrics and pillows with a fogger or misting spray to control odors. ![]() "After 25 years of practice in small animal medicine, I had seen every deodorizer that every rep had detailed, and I tried then all, usually with poor results.Consider this - a stand alone deodorizer - non toxic, biodegradable, non staining, non corrosive, viricidial, bacteriacidal, fungicidal. A deodorizer that works via a permanent oxidation reduction reaction on contact, not a cover up, no scent, not enzymatic. When properly use on the premises or on the animal, you won't believe the results. Try this simple test, spray your other deodorizers on a paper towel and spray that same area with Expel. Your deodorizer odor will disappear. Try Expel on ammonia and notice its scent disappears in about 15 seconds. Anal glands are no problem. Spray cat boxes daily. Expel sells itself! My clinic sold 60 quarts and 5 gallons the first month we tried the counter display. You will be
